No, you haven't stumbled upon some kind of existential angst due to the intake of way too much wine (yet). Since I was a bit of a grump yesterday, I've decided to focus on the positive aspects of blogging.
Before I get to that, though, a few things: there's still time to throw your hat in the ring to win a signed copy of the The Hating Game and help me name that character!
And if you're an author, reader, crusty rooster or smelly guinea pig (don't ask) and you feel like donating a new or used book for my great book giveaway, just comment anywhere or email me (talliroland AT gmail.com). I'll be posting the list of donors on Friday -- thank you!
Final bit of news: the wonderful Glynis Smy has interviewed me over at her blog!
Phew. Okay, I'll keep this short. We all know why we blog, anyway.
BECAUSE THE WRITING COMMUNITY IN THE BLOGOSPHERE IS MADE OF WIN WIN WINEEEEEE!
(Yes, that was intentional.)
Seriously, thank you! For everything! :)
Go Glynis! And how great that she interviewed you. Now I need to check it out.
ReplyDeleteWe're all entitled to a whine and wine day every once in a while. Now I'm going to read your interview.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela!
ReplyDeleteHope you like the interview, Carol!
Win and Wine = MASSIVE WIN! :)
Ahhh, I will head on over to Glynis' site...
ReplyDeletethanks for the head's up!
I <3 you - angst, happy, whatever!
ReplyDeleteYAY! to everything! I have a book, it is a collection of short stories. The O Henry Prize Short Stories. I bought it twice. So I would like to contribute the new copy to your give away.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling blogger-better today, I'm off to your interview :)
ReplyDeletewin win wine? lol I read yesterday's post and agree with all of those too! Actually it made me realise I haven't changed my word verification thingy ever. And I have no idea what it does when people comment. Sad but true. lol
ReplyDeleteWin+ wine sounds awesome :)
ReplyDeleteOff to read your interview!
Win and wine--yep, that pretty much sums it up. :)

ReplyDeleteI totally agree... I've 'met' some awesome people through blogging. Writers rock!
ReplyDeleteOff to read your interview now! Have a great day! :) (Sorry for the deleted post. For some reason, I thought it was Friday... lol. I think I need more coffee!)
I have some YA ARCs and other books left from BEA last year. I could donate a few if you want. Let me know what you're looking for.
ReplyDeleteI'll check out your interview.
ReplyDeleteThere are days that blogging is harder than others. At least on Wednesdays and Fridays it's other people's work up on my blog but it still requires some thinking and set up. My personal blog day--meh. Lately I've been sick and so clever and I don't go hand in hand.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check out your interview.
Whoa. I was expecting a detailed break down, but you just said it all. Well done Talli, well done.
ReplyDeleteGrumpy days are necessary. I haven't figured out why, but I think we all need a day of grumpiness. For me, it keeps my kids on their toes, hee, hee, hee.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to Glynis' blog.
Yes we are! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't think of a more awesome group of people.

Yep, everyone here is made of win (and the wine doesn't hurt, lol)!
ReplyDeleteWhat flavor IS win-win wine? And read your interview with Glynis yesterday.
ReplyDeleteWill head over asap.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Yvonne.
You go girl!
ReplyDeleteAw well everyone has those days where we feel like whining a bit...even though the blogosphere does have some drawbacks, it's been a great community to be a part of. I have created wonderful friendships with other people around the world and love it!

lol Blogging FTW!
ReplyDeletewill check out your interview and post some positive comments!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad young, trendy authors who are "in with the time" are being published!!!
So THANK YOU Talli for the hardwork!
The publishing companies stuck to established author's (like Jill Mansell, Katie Fford etc) who are good authors BUT belong to a previous generation - they just can't connect with the MANY professional YOUNG aggressive trendy readers out there looking for chick lit that isn't about a poor girl marrying a rich guy (or a PA marrying the boss etc etc)
So thank you!!!
Aw! Thanks, everyone -- for checking out Glynis's interview with me and for being so lovely and supportive!
ReplyDeleteAnd Goddess, yay! THANK YOU for supporting the kind of things I write! :)
PS - I'm trying to get around to everyone's blog tonight but feeling a bit ick, so I may not... sigh. I will, though!
We all have the "Crabies" every now and then ....
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just need to vent....
Have a great week, Talli...
Michael
Haha aw that's sweet! And it's true - the writing community is awesome!
ReplyDeleteOff to read that interview now!
I'm off to check out your interview!
ReplyDeleteLOL - I hate the ones that have some cutie title for comments that sounds nothing like comments....I mean pick a word that I can find....don't call it "toe jam" and expect me to figure out that this is your word for comments.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can deal with the halfway down the page thing its the ones who have to many follow breeds. Two ways to follow should be the max - 6 obscure extra follow thingys just confuddle me.
Lol thanks for the funny "sunshine and butterflies" upbeaty day! grin. gonna go check your IV - see doesn't it just drive ya nuts when people are nutz? InterView - grin
MMMMMmmmmmmm wine - I shall have some now - with cheese and hot bread! Thats ok for breakfast - right?
Awww Talli! I covet your genetics!!
ReplyDelete:-)
Take care
x
Love!
ReplyDeleteGreat interview, too.
The blogging community is pretty amazing! I've yet to find a more supportive and amazing group of people. And of course you're a huge part of that!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome.
ReplyDeleteI didn't do that much though.
Can't believe you still want more character suggestions. Aren't you able to paint your whole house with them by now?
