It's a bit of a sick day here chez Roland, with Mr TR down for the count and me feeling a bit under the weather (which, by the way, seems endlessly grey and drizzly these days). But... look what came by courier today to cheer me up!
Aren't they pretty? What's cheering you up today?
Oh, the lovely Lucie Wheeler (who is getting married soon!) interviewed me on her blog today! Lucie's super nice and even if you don't have a chance to read my rambles, pop over to say hi if you can.
Can just add how much of a loser I felt making my books 'pose' in various positions? I even had them spread out on a red blanket (which didn't turn out, thank goodness!).
They are absolutely lovely! My copy should be on its way to me! I pre-ordered a while ago. Can't wait! What's cheering me up today is a partial request from a great agent. Fingers crossed that it turns into a full!
OMG! What a lovely box of books! I am SO EXCITED for you! I'd been having a 'blah' day so far but your post totally made up for this morning's lack of excitement! Go Talli! :)
Nothing like holding your own book in your hand finally is there!? What's cheering me up? My ninety year old mother is still fit and well, living happily in her own house, keeping it and her garden immaculately and tottling off to her Scrabble club every week. That cheers me up!
So, does that mean mine will be coming in the mail very soon? I can't wait!!!!! Oh, now about your question...ummm, what cheers me up? crawling on the couch and watching old movies with a cup of hot tea! OR reading a good book!
Ooooh that has to be one of the most amazing things to arrive in the mail! Like having a baby without the agony of childbirth: it just gets posted to you :-)
Congratulations on the imminent paperback release - and on getting your books to pose so beautifully for us!
How exciting! That must have been like Christmas and your birthday rolled into one when you opened that box. That would cheer anyone. I'm cheerful today because the shelves have been installed in my new art room and I can now start setting up my own space. I'm sure you can relate to having your own creative work area.
This cheered me up! These are beautiful, Talli!
