Wales - Journey to Hay on Wye

There were so many amazing photos to choose from, and these are but a few from our journey through the Wye Valley and the Black Mountains to Hay-on-Wye in Wales. If you want to see more and you're on Facebook, I'll upload them to my account. It truly is a feast for the eyes and we had such an amazing time! See my post below for the Town of Books, Hay-on-Wye.

Chepstow Castle.

Tintern Abbey.

Isolated chapel driving through Gospel Pass in the Black Mountains.

On top of the Black Mountains, about to descend into Hay-on-Wye.

  11. All these pictures are fab! My favorite, though, is the chapel. I love the way the stones seem to waving into the wind, or leaning toward the ground. And the contrasting colours. Thanks again Talli, for sharing a piece of your world.

  15. Oh! That castle so fits one of my novels. I've only seen Wales from the Devon coast. But I did find a magical stone ring in the fog whilst walking in Devon.

  21. Thanks for all your comments, everyone! It was so gorgeous!

Clara, the Wye is on the border of Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire and Herefordshire... and it is near the Forest of Dean, if that's the one you mean? It's beautiful!

  34. Talli, your posts really grabbed me...took my time reading the previous post...and felt myself transported back to Wales. Haven't been there in years but your photos and exciting words definitely tickled the traveling bug. And I'd heart of Hay on Wye's bookstores but hadn't realized there were so many. Thanks for some cool posts!
