Something for Saturday

Happy Saturday! Thanks so much for all your wonderful feedback on The Hating Game cover. I really appreciate it!

And now may I present: Blenheim Palace. The birthplace of Churchill, it's about an hour outside of London and definitely worth a trip. I took these photos on a visit there last year. It's as beautiful as it looks. Enjoy!

  7. Is this the same Blenheim Uncle Gardner talks about in Pride & Prejudice when he asks Elizabeth about her reservations on going to Pemberly?

"Surely no more than Chatsworth or Blenheim?"

Lovely place, is it a castle, part of the Queen's holdings? or is it a town or just a tourist place? I would lov to get lost in the gardens. Simply beautiful.

  11. Like all the other commentators, I am enthralled. I'd love to wander through its gardens, and then watch a jousting event!
Thanks again Talli for bringing a bit of your historical beauty across the oceans.

  13. Glad you're all enjoying it! I had so much fun there with my parents and husband last year - that maze is harder than it looks, believe me!

Anne - yes, I believe it may be the same palace. Blenheim was built in the early 1700s. It's not part of the Queem's holdings but instead belongs to the Duke of Malborough, who still lives in one of the wings!

  24. Those gardens look magical! Thanks for sharing photos from your beautiful country -- they make me more excited than ever for my trip to Europe in June. Hey, flying through Heathrow 6/18!

Hope your weekend is going great!

  25. Your pictures are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. It's like visiting but without having to update my passport -- hard to do when you're in the Federal Witness Protection Program -- just kidding.

    Have a lovely weekend, Roland
