To Brain, From Liver

Dear Brain,

I'm tired of you. I'm tired of your lame excuses, of hearing it's too hot, of trying to move the muscles off to clean the kitchen floor because a synopsis is toooo haarrd! Suck it up! You've been around for 36 years. You might be starting to lose some brain matter but you still know better!

Focus. Concentrate. Do what you need to do, and stop writing 140 characters to anyone who'll listen every five minutes!

And try to limit the drinking to one glass of wine per day, please? I'm kind of struggling here.

Love,

Liver

  1. So cute. Maybe the two glasses of wine per day won't be too bad. :)

  22. This reminded me of those articles which used to appear in the Reader's Digest entitled 'I am John's pancreas' or 'I am Jane's kidneys'.

  23. My brain's gone blank on this comment. See what synopsis talk does?

  24. Very cute. If I had my druthers, I'd cut back on the Tweets and up the wine.

  25. Cleaning the kitchen floor or writing a synopsis & you opt for the floor?

    Me too! :)

  26. Hahahahaha... too funny and very cute!

Tell your brain she'd better listen or ELSE :D

    Have a great weekend!

  27. I'm impressed. Only every 5 minutes. I think I'm every 2 minutes.

I'd rather clean the toilets than write a synopsis. (speaking of which . . . .)

  28. Ahahaha! I sure hope your brain listens! Your liver sounds like it means business!

  29. You have quite a bossy liver!

  30. Nice post. I love the graphics.
But being a man I found it tough to understand - we men are not ruled by either our livers..... or our brains.

    Have a great weekend.

    All the best, Boonsong

  31. Great post... my liver needs to send my brain that message soon ... I am working on my pitch for Nationals and my revision! AACK!

  32. two - three bottles/day, and the brain will be pickled to the point nothing else matters... but liver will likely embrace cirrhosis :(

    ReplyDelete
  33. Easy. One glass of wine. One beer. One gin and tonic...

    ReplyDelete
  34. Tee hee... as I sit here with a glass of wine as well. ;)

  35. I drank far too much last night and I am sure my liver hates me today. As for the wanting to wash the floor instead of writing a synopsis well now that's bad!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Good luck brain and liver. You'll get through that synopsis - you will! you will!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thank you for making me smile and giggle, Talli.

Now get on with that synopsis!

  38. I have this fight every time or every other day and always the brain wins so i feel your pain :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ha! I ignore all my liver's pleas. Sometimes a second glass of wine is needed.

It's easy for the liver to make fun of a synopsis. Let it just try and write one!

    ReplyDelete
  40. How about one wine and one pint? Can we make a compromise? Love ya. Brain.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Buwaahahahahahaha!!!!!!

Oh, yes, I can certainly relate. 140 characters in an otherwise non-literary forum/project does not a manuscript make. But, hey, wine it up....it can only help..... =)

  42. This was cute Talli! Be careful with that liver!! Though I do think that 2 glasses of wine would be okay.

  43. This was hilarious Talli! Loved it, so cute! My problem are pina coladas, the r just so good...oh boy

    ReplyDelete
  44. LOL! I'm glad I can't drink wine anymore because that would be a problem for me as well. :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. That's cute.

It's hard to stick to the recommended one glass. Especially when the wine is tasty and the writing is going well. I totally hear you. :)
