So, as I approximated the flour and the milk, I crossed my fingers they would come out all right. They tasted delicious, but as I said on my Twitter: If they were in a pancake pageant, they'd only win Miss Congeniality. (Are pancakes female? Hmmm...)
We topped off the pancake meal the only acceptable way on Easter: with a Cadbury's Creme Egg. Can it get more sugary than this? Thick chocolate, with gloopy faux-egg filling just oozing from inside. One bite and you're up to your teeth in rich creamy goodness.
What's your favourite Easter treat?
Happy Easter!!!!
ReplyDeleteYay that your pancakes came out not only edible but extremely yummy! Sometimes you just have to trust your instinct and go with the flow cos you never know what the result may be. It may be surprisingly good!
My favourite Easter treat? Edible Hot Cross Buns!
LOL!
Take care
x
I should make this official:
ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Helen and I've never eaten a Cadbury's Creme Egg. I will admit, the picture is tempting, though.

Old Kitty - LOL! Your hot-cross buns looked edible to me!
ReplyDeleteHelen - That is not acceptable. I cannot believe you have never had one. You must go try one, right now. Quick, head to the nearest corner shop, before it's too late!
I had a Cadbury Egg once. It kinda grossed me out, and that's REALLY hard for something chocolate to do.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Uhhh...yummmm! Cadburry Eggs are my favoritest candy ever! I also like the caramel-filled ones, but the creme has first place in my heart.
ReplyDeleteI love pancakes and chocolate so that sounds like an ideal way to start the day. :) Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteI love Cadburry cream eggs! Yummy. After looking at your picture I just may buy some today at the grocery store!
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE Cadbury's Creme Eggs, they are sooooo yummy. I think I may wander off and buy about ten and then eat them all! Mwha ha ha
ReplyDeleteI like the Cadbury Creme Egg but I haven't eaten one in ages - too sweet for my tastes now.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
My favourite Easter treat is the Caramilk egg - yummy stuff :)
ReplyDeleteMmmm Creme Eggs! I want pancakes and Creme Eggs, damnit! :D
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
It's hard to pick...jelly beans (the black ones), marshmellow peeps, chocolate whoppers, and of course - creme eggs.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter. :)
Happy Easter!! I made baked French toast. You prepare it the night before and bake in the morning -- tasted like bread pudding. To.Die.For!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great day!
((hugs)) Nicole
I LOVE Cadbury Creme Eggs!!! Starburst Jelly Beans are a must, too. And my dad and I make homemade peanut butter eggs and coconut eggs every year, which probably are my ultimate fave.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Easter eating all the sugary goodness!
Pancakes and Cadbury Creme Eggs sound like the perfect Easter meal. Cadbury Creme Eggs are my favorite although jelly beans are a close second. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteEewww...they freak me out. I just cannot eat that gross inside goop.
ReplyDeleteBut...HAPPY EASTER!!!!
Love,
Lola
Pancakes and chocolate eggs? Sounds good to me. Together? Very sweeeeet. Not a big sugar girl, but do love chocolate and pancakes!
ReplyDeleteI like anything with dark chocolate. We had pancakes yesterday with homemade strawberry syrup. Yum. Come on over to my blog if you'd like a chance to win a copy of Marcus Chown's book, lots of nice memories being shared by my readers.
ReplyDeleteI love Cadbury eggs! and Dove truffle eggs too. *sigh* Great, now I need a sugar rush haha. Happy Easter! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!!! I love peeps! I'm not a big chocolate eater so peeps would be the way to go for me!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
ReplyDeletemmmmm... pancakes. ;o)
I made biscuits and sausage gravy...we have cheesecake that I made yesterday in the fridge but I have not cracked into that sugar high yet...after lunch perhaps... ;o)
Visit My Kingdom Anytime
Oh yeah - I forgot:
ReplyDeleteReese's peanut butter eggs... or the snickers eggs.... yummmmm
I don't east chocolate, so Cadbury for me...
ReplyDeleteAnother blogger posted the Cadbury "goo" commercials and they are so funny!
You know how I feel about Creme eggs.................
ReplyDelete*Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!* (Just had one, slightly full of sugar).
More.
More.
More.
Rather shocked that someone hasn't tried one...or DISLIKES THEM(!!) I believe that's a criminal offence in the south east.
Well, it SHOULD be!!
Happy Easter!
Kit, I KNOW! Maybe we should introduce the deep-fried Mars Bar, hehe!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I *can* sort of see how there is something disgusting about sugar masquerading as egg yolk. The trick is to not really think about it and just EAT!
Jen, please tell me, what are Peeps?
Thanks everyone for the comments! Hope you're all having a great Easter!
Happy Easter! What a breakfast. :D
ReplyDeleteMy favorite would have to be the Cadbury caramel eggs. Hehee!
Ooh Creme Eggs, yum. When Creme egg season starts it lets me know Easter is coming. Until then I have to eat the Creme Egg Twister bars. Not the same:(
ReplyDeleteThe mini peanut butter cups or the black jelly beans.
ReplyDeleteI love Cadbury eggs but I didn't buy any this year - I love them too much! No measuring cups? I'm impressed you managed to make pancakes without them!
ReplyDeleteThose eggs look so good. I've wanted one all day long. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, those sound delicious. Tomorrow begins my candy detoxification week. My stomach seriously feels SICK. But it's not Easter until someone gets a candy stomachache (or 10).
ReplyDeleteMore like, one bite and you're up for the next several hours, what with all that sugar. (hee, hee.)
ReplyDeleteNo, that sounds so yummy. Cadbury eggs used to be my favorites. Now they're the the spring Lindt Truffles.
And not a single measuring cup even? I must admit that I hate measuring things too, so no great loss there. Still, looks like you've managed--Miss (Mrs?) Pancake satisfied you and the husband!
The funny thing is, I don't even like cadbury creme eggs. And yet they are like this Easter tradition. We HAVE to have them. I think I ate two or three today. :)
ReplyDeleteEverything else I wanted to make I couldn't b/c we were out of eggs....
I completely forgot to buy Cadbury eggs this season and now I can't track any down :(
ReplyDeleteSeveral years ago I worked in Brazil & my mom sent about a dozen Cadbury eggs down because I loved them so much. What a hit! My Brazilian friends still talk about them.
Hello Talli! That huge creme egg in your photo made me slightly nauseous. I love chocolate 32% more than the next girl, but creme eggs are just too much for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, pancakes are female.
Love the new blog!
I'm ashamed to say I totally missed the boat on Cadbury eggs this Easter! But I did stock up on Peeps, which are my absolute favorite Easter treat. Not sure if they're just in the U.S.? Hopefully not, because they're delicious!
ReplyDeleteEach spring, I used to have a Cadbury creme egg, but since they've offered the caramel ones, those are my favorites. I just ate one today!
ReplyDeletePlease, someone tell me, what are Peeps? I'm dying to know!

ReplyDeletePeeps are yucky (to me)! They're marshmallow in the shape of a chick, without that sort of coating around the marshmallow. Instead there's a sugary coating in a bright yellow around it. But a friend of mine loves them.
ReplyDeleteI love peeps, and I hate marshmallows! They're not very marshmallowy at all. It's like almost gooey, okay, like a marshmallow that's been roasted. with a sugary outside. Love them.
