Wonderfully Profane

I'm posting a bit late today due to a lengthy bleaching session at the salon. One of the perils of platinum hair.

Anyway, thank you all so much for the wonderfully supportive comments yesterday. Now, this is why I blog! I've met such a great community of people through this blog and I really appreciate you reading my drivel and responding.

It's Friday, it's raining, and something tells me it's wine o'clock (newly christened as TalliBell... you'll have to ask Jess about that one!). So, for your viewing pleasure, I present the following. You may have seen it around and -- if you're not a big fan of profanity -- you may not find it amusing. But you have to admit, it's killer marketing!

Have a great weekend.

  4. My brother sent me the PDF file of that book awhile back, and I got a great laugh out of it. Sam Jackson is entirely appropriate, though I still wonder how it would sound to have Julie Andrews or Angela Lansbury do the reading....

  5. I still would like to tell that to my kids and my youngest is in college! Very funny! I'm sure you're hair turned out lovely. Have a great weekend. Julie

  15. Ah, the price of beauty.... but it's so worth it! Platinum fits your personality. It gives you the "Joie de vivre!"

    Enjoy your "TalliBell" time....

  21. Perfect choice for the reading. I wish Id thought of a book like this - it taps into all the psycho frustrated parent in all of us. Hiding waaaaaaaay deep inside!

  22. You probably know how I feel about this video. I turned it off pretty quickly. And it's not so much that I am offended by the word when used in a context that makes sense, but I have gotten so sick of hearing it just bantered about like nothing and hearing kids use it. Maybe I'm a prude in the eyes of some, but I think there should be some limitations of usage.

And I agree that a follow-up to anything that has been successful puts an artist in a real pressure spot to prove themselves. I think you'll do well, but I can imagine how you are feeling about it.

  26. My laptop won't let me open this, so I'll have to wait until I'm on the computer in the house.

I've got the hairdressers next Friday, can't wait.

  29. The non-profane version of this book that you can actually read to your kids is called "Once Upon A Time, The End" by Geffrey Kloske. It's awesome. My kids and I giggle at it every time.

  32. How can you not be a fan of profanity? =) I want a copy of this book, even though my kid is way past the age where I can tell him what to do. Heh.

  33. I can't imagine you with any different color hair - it's perfect for you!

  34. LOL- it wouldn't let me comment and keep listening so I'm gonna have to go back and finish it.

  35. Profane or not, it's hilarious. God, how many times did I feel like this parent with my son--who is now 16. Oh yah, it cracks me up and yep, he reads it well, lolol!

Talli, it might seem like drivel to you, but I rather enjoy your blog posts but I do understand the appreciation. I feel the same.
