What Colour Scarf Are You?

Happy Wednesday, lovely people! The sky is a brilliant blue in London today, the air is crisp, and it's one of those days that makes you want to don a long russet-coloured scarf, shiny leather boots, and skip down the street on the crunchy leaves. I might do just that later today! If I can find a russet-coloured scarf.

Since I'm lazy and feeling rather lax ce matin (and yes, I quite enjoy lapsing into foreign languages randomly), I thought I'd give you a little update on what I've been doing.

Edits for Build a Man are almost done (yay!), and you can check out the first chapter here. I've also been busy tidying up my novella, Miracle at the Museum of Broken Hearts. It's for a Christmas anthology I'm doing with American authors Tonya Kappes, D.D. Scott, and L.A. Lopez, and I'm pretty excited about pairing up with such great writers. Due out American Thanksgiving, here's the blurb for my little tale:

When chief romantic Rose Delaney scores her dream job at London’s quirkiest new attraction, The Museum of Broken Hearts, she thinks she’s got it made. Sure, it’s a little depressing dealing with relics of failed relationships each day, but Rose is determined not to let it break her ‘love conquers all’ spirit. After discovering the museum’s handsome curator is nursing a broken heart of his own, Rose steps in to fix it. Can Rose heal the rift in time for the holidays, or will this Christmas crush her fantasies forever?

And, last but not least, you can enter to win a copy of Watching Willow Watts and read about what makes me laugh over at Chick Lit Central

Have a fabulous day, everyone. What coloured scarf would you wear to go dancing down the street on a lovely autumn day?

  1. You know, I have a very nice russet colored scarf. It even has little mink pompoms along the edge, and I never wear it because I'm a pink girl. If you were here now, or I was there, I'd give it to you. :)

  2. I'm a black, dark blue and all shades of grey kinda girl, so I'll stick with those :o)

  4. I have too many scarves, so I think if I had my druthers, I would wear two today, the hot pick and the sea green with turquoise. I would look like crazy bubblegum.

Love the new novella, sounds great.

  5. I love scarves, but my fave is an old, slightly tatty, but still snuggly black one. It's kind of like my security blanket for those cold, dreary days...

  6. Cheers to Wednesday!! I will wear my raspberry animal print.

  7. Mine would be deep orange with random bits of red and magenta. I'm going to go knit it now! Actually I'm not but I am taking the beasty out in the woods. I'll wear one of the gazillion shawls or scarves I've got about.
    It is gray here. boo.

It is a gray, cloudy windy day here.

  13. I love scarves too, and wear them from now into Spring. Today I've got on a black and silver neckerchief. It's raining here, and the scarf feels good in the damp weather.

  15. The funniest thing about this post is that it was only a few weeks ago that you mocked me for saying that due to a fever, I wasn't precisely compos mentis. Mocked, I say! MOCKED!

  16. Lucky you. It's cold, raining, and ugly outside here in Chicago. And I have to go to work, bla!

Have fun skipping down the street in your boots and scarf, wish I could join you.

By the way, I would go with a shinny pastel pink scarf, or a deep, dark, brownish red scarf.

  17. I'd have a nice multicoloured scarf. It'd match my winter hat).

  18. Patterned purple. And it's starting to get chilly around here so I definitely need it!

    Love the snippet!

  19. A soft, snuggle autumn leaf gold, but I shall tie it tight as the wind coming off the sea might be clean and clear but it's also freezing! And there's no dancing either _ I'm having a 'Why did I think I could write' day!

  20. Scarves and boots are why fall was invented!

I'm a deep red sort of girl. Love the autumn colors.

And I love the description of your Christmas novella. Sounds like the sort of story that should be made into a holiday movie. :)

  21. Well aren't you the busy little writer!! I am looking forward to reading both your new projects. Can't wait actually. Good for you!!!

  23. Congrats on the swiftness with which you have prepared this third book! At some point, you could write the book, 'How I Did It,' by author Talli Rolland. :)

As for the scarf, I'm going to be quite predictable. Something spicy, red or orange or something in between.

  24. I'm an eggplant purple colored scarf girl.

I'm looking forward to reading your third book! :)

  25. Good blurb, Talli!

I'd say I'm a black scarf. Fits in with the rest of my wardrobe that way.

  26. Your productivity is inspiring me, Talli! I must write for 3 solid hours today, I will, I will.

    (I wouldn't wear a scarf, they don't suit me)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hmmm. I thin I would wear a deep purple scarf. Oh, maybe a forest green. Oh, oh, or a deep red.

I like the dark gem colors. :)

  28. How fun to do a seasonal anthology! #greatidea

  29. I'd probably wear a black scarf or a navy blue one; for some reason a lot of people in Chicago wear dark clothes during the winter. Your novella sounds interesting! I like the idea of a museum about broken hearts; that's definitely a place that I'd like to visit!

  30. Yay for the edits almost being done! As for what colored scarf, probably green or blue, depending on my mood. :)

  35. Let's hear it for edits!
And if I was dancing down the street, I'd want a dark scarf over my head so no one knew it was me.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I feel in the mood for rust red. :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. I happen to have a great russet scarf, Have not seen much of an autumn yet though. By the time I get back to Norway I have a feeling it will be winter :) You are such a busy little bee, what kind of coffee do you drink? LOL!

  38. After a long period of time searching, I have found the perfect turquoise scarf for myself. Now I receive compliments nearly every time :)
I have really enjoyed reading the first chapter from your book.

  39. Forest green, I think. But here today is gray, gray, gray and chilly making me want to snuggle under a blanket.

I'd wear a Doctor Who Tom Baker scarf that I'd knit [g]

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh, scarves and boots and cute jackets... love it! I think I'd wear a plum colored scarf. Or maybe a cute pink and brown plaid one.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I also have a russet-colored scarf that I favor.

You have so many exciting projects coming up. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi Talli - russet is a great Autumn colour .. and getting out into the crisp clear air with scrunchy leaves underfoot is cobweb clearing time - excellent you've so much happening .. and I haven't caught up on the weekend yet .. anon - cheers Hilary

  44. Love the blurb, Talli!

I love buying scarfs...oddly enough, I tend to only wear one of them. Right now it's plum.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Orange! I love orange! Okay...off to read your chapter. So excited!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'd like to say a nice burnt-orange, very autumn-leafy, but I don't actually think that would work with my skin tone in any way. Sigh. So maybe black? Haha what a great question!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I have three scarfs and all of them are stripey! Not too chilly here for me to wear any of them though. :)
