It's weekends like this past one that I really miss being back home in Canada. Today is Canadian Thanksgiving, a time of the year when the leaves are glorious and it's usually the perfect weather for a family gathering. Sigh!
Here are a few photos of my homeland, from last autumn.
(The last one is my Mum, Dad and Mr TR trotting along the Skyline Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.)
I have a very busy next couple weeks with friends visiting and a conference, so although I'll be posting as usual, I may not be blog-hopping quite as much! Bear with me; I'll be back with a vengeance come the last week of October.
Happy Monday, everyone!
Beautiful photos. I'm a walker, and would just love to walk that Skyline Trail near the sea, what a perfect place.

ReplyDeleteI've wanted to visit Cape Breton for a long time and your photos have reinforced that desire.
I have been to New Brunswick and around the Gaspe peninsula but that's as far east as I got.
Great weather here in my part of Canada this entire long weekend.
The sun is shining and the leaves are in various stages of turning. Brilliant crimson, orange, brown, yellow... glorious! I can't think of a place I would rather be at this time of year.

ReplyDeleteYes, we all missed you around the turkey! Actually, I thought I saw you at the market - your hair, a guy like Mr. T., and two kids that I thought you might have borrowed. But no, the woman turned around and she didn't have your bright eyed lovely look at all! Where is that second photo from - Blue Rocks? Second Peninsula? Near Chester? I know I know it!
