Turnip for the Books

Hehe! Get it? It's a turnip for the books!

Yeah, I know... and I'm sorry, but it's a four-day weekend here; the sun is out; it's HOT and my brain has turned to mushified mush.

So, I'll just direct you over here where there's a review of my novel (also beginning with T!).

And with that, me and my liquid brain are off to enjoy yet another fabulous day. Ta ta!

(Edit: Maybe it's a British expression? Anyway, a turn-up for the books is an unexpected or surprising event).

  6. Turnips are under-appreciated. Along with swedes. I think my brain may also have liquified.

  9. Yes I saw where London had a 25 degree day. That's not hot where I come from but the Londoners thought so, ha ha. It's autumn here and we're still having 27 degree days. This Easter weather has been glorious once the rain stopped.

  38. It's a good job you clarified what you meant at the end. A lot of people wouldn't have had a clue what you were talking about!

    *giggle*

I wish I had a four day weekend. My word, I'm missing England so much right now. Spring and easter eggs and four day weekends.

  41. I would definitely 'turnip' for books. Ooh. That was pretty bad, wasn't it? :)

Just finished The Hating Game on Sunday. So cute! I wanted to strangle Baz the entire time. Keep those very real characters coming!

  42. good pun, I like it! TaTa used here too, but people sometimes give you 'the look' as if it's a bit immature, but hey life's too short to be serious all the time. We've had a magnificent Easter break weather wise, down the beach each day ;) Cold at night, but glorious sunshine and not too hot. Simply perfect. Enjoy your holidays.
