Keeping 'er short and simple today, as I gear up for the A to Z Challenge starting on Friday! I've got three things to share with you. Aren't I nice!
1. Today is a hair salon day. Very important in my world, since I have short, platinum hair. It's not a good look when that grows out, believe me.
2. The bunion on my wrist is getting bigger! It's been such a pleasure watching it grow stronger and develop into the fine bunion specimen it is today.
3. I'm at author Caroline Smailes' blog today! Caroline is an author I first met on Twitter and then in person at her launch of Like Bees to Honey. She is super nice and SO supportive; she recently talked me down off the ledge when I had a mini-implosion. Anyway, please check out her blog if you get the chance because it's a great one, on any day!
Happy Hump Day, everyone!
Love hair salon day, though I don't really go that frequently. I barely manage to brush my hair on a daily basis. :)
ReplyDeleteHope a doctor has seen to your wrist!
Going over to Caroline Smailes' blog right now.
Looking forward to the challenge on Friday. It's gonna be badass :D
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all those glossy mags in the hairdressers', Talli! It's research after all - multitasking at its best. X
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like getting your hair done, perhaps you'll follow it up with wine and cupcakes later - I will!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from AtoZ and looking forward to reading your posts.
ReplyDeleteHope they give you a glass of wine while you wait your turn in the hair chair. And hope your wrist is seen by a physician...soon!
Happy Wednesday! :o)
I totally need a salon day this weekend! thanks for the reminder. Didn't know you could get a bunion on your wrist...but if they hurt as much as the ones on your feet you have my sympathy. (Heck, you have it even if they don't)
ReplyDeleteI totally love those hair salon days. I have one tomorrow. I love all the pampering and I when I leave I feel always feel like I need to go out and do something special. My salon has the best coffee! Sorry to hear about your bunion on your wrist, that must hurt. I had very painful bunions on my feet-just had surgery recently on both. I am pain free!
ReplyDeleteLooking foward to the A_Z challange.
Smiles.
I love salon day :) We all have our challenges that make that day vital in our lives!
ReplyDeleteFeeling a little, er, terrified of the challenge. We'll see if I make it through. *fingers crossed*
Happy hump day indeed--something's going on with the space/time continuum that's causing this week to take a ridiculously long time.
ReplyDeleteI think I need a salon day too, actually. Might look into that!
I love salon days, although I don't always agree with the hairdresser ;) Can't wait to start the challenge too! Hope to see you again while blog-trotting :P
ReplyDeleteI know I need a salon day. Like last week. Nails too. I was going today but the tires need replacing. If my hair goes flat it's an easy fix--grab a comb, if a tire goes flat--grab the jack, an umbrella, struggle to be coordinated...
ReplyDeleteIt appears things are calming down a bit so I should be able to get there next week.
I'll dash on over to Carolines....
Oooo! Bring on the fun!!! Have a great day at the salon... I love getting pampered and maintenance is so important!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to gear up for the A-Z Blogging Challenge!!! Woohoo!!! Already have A & B covered!
Hoping over to Caroline's blog now!!!
Sorry I've been distant! I know you know I still heart you (whoa, that was a mouthful)!
A bunion on your wrist!?! I thought they only grew on feet. I once had a ganglion on my wrist. It was caused by playing the classical guitar but that's another story. Enjoy the hairdressers and I'm looking forward to reading your A to Z blogs.
ReplyDeleteI've been writing my posts for April, I can't wait to get this party started. Did you eat too many Funyons?
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous - I so want a salon day. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteAfter the Salon, you'll be stylin' and blogging the A to Z Challenge. Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteHi Talli .. going platinum would be a shock for me .. silvering gently is easier! Waiting a few years too?! The ganglion - is it .. can be bashed with a Bible - large Germanic ones .. like the ancients travelled with .. that dispersed the sheaved knot ... I had one in SA - fortunately it went .. hope you can sort it.
ReplyDeleteI'll be over to Caroline's now .. a Hump Day to you too - it's wet and cold down here .. cheers Hilary
I love your hair.
ReplyDeleteSee you on Friday for sure. Happy hump day to you as well :)
ReplyDeleteJules @ Trying To Get Over The Rainbow
Thanks for the heads up. I'll go check out that blog. And I can't even imagine having to go to the hair salon regularly to keep my hair platinum blond. You must be organized.
ReplyDeleteA trip to the hairdresser is always a great time to rest.
ReplyDeleteYour 'bunion' is probably a ganglion cyst. I have one and just went to the ortho. Have to go to a hand therapist to have a brace made as I do not want surgery just yet. Good luck!
Are you aiming for the Bunion Hall of Fame? Sounds like you might make it! Happy Wednesday to you!
ReplyDelete#2 made me lol! As for #1, my hair is a splendid mash up of reddish brown, dark brown and a nice gray streak down the middle. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your April posts!
ReplyDeleteGreat Galloping Bunions, Talli! Hair salon day was yesterday for me. Also very short hair.
ReplyDeleteBunion? that word is gross, I hope whatever's on your wrist isn't gross. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're getting pampered...have you seen your follower count? 777? feeling lucky?
A bunion on your wrist? That sounds like something that would hurt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new blog link and the heads-up about Like Bees to Honey. See you Friday with day one of A to Z.
Yay for hair salon day. I had mine trimmed yesterday :)
ReplyDeleteAnd ouch to the bunion.
I'm excited for the A to Z Challenge. It's awesome how many people have signed up! It's going to be epic.
ReplyDeleteI'm at the hairdressers on friday being 'blonded'.
ReplyDeleteI love salon days, sheer bliss for someone else doing my hair, enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Have fun at the hair salon and at Caroline's today!
ReplyDeleteYay for hair day!
ReplyDeleteI suppose the thing on your wrist is an affliction that comes with typing?
Hope your mini implosion turned sorted out. (=
Happy Wednesday!! :) And I couldn't do the A-Z challenge, no way. But good luck and I'm sure you'll be amazing!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the salon. Now that most of my color finally grew out, I'll probably let mine get longer. Hair days are great.
ReplyDeleteYay for Hump Day!!! And Platinum Hair Day! And Great Bunyon Day!!! And Caroline Smail's blog day too!!! Now for cake and champers to celebrate!!!!
ReplyDelete:-)
Take care
x
I love the salon! I'll check you out at the other blog.
ReplyDeleteYou have a bunion, and I have a cyst on my wrist! We should make up a Dr. Seuss book about it. :P I' check out your link!
ReplyDeleteI got my hair done today too! But I have the opposite problem of you---mine is dark and when the greys are allowed to show themselves, it ain't pretty.
ReplyDeleteRegarding your comment at my blog (thanks :))---don't worry, next time I come to London, Colleen and I are going to Harry Potterize you! ;)
Hey, busy gal! Haha, had to laugh about watching the bunion grow (tho I'm sure it's not quite as amusing in real life). Enjoy your platinum-izing!
ReplyDeleteI love the salon too! I go to Edinburgh every 12weeks and have THE works - all served up with a couple of glasses of proper bubbly and a hello magazine. Who could ever want for more? Just wish I could go more often than four times a year! Don't know if they manicure bunions....do you want me to ask...?
ReplyDeleteGetting hair done is a special pleasure! Hope you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about short, colored hair. Can't wait to start A to Z and I will pop by Caroline's blog.
ReplyDeleteI checked out your interview at Caroline's blog! Truly enjoyed it :) I'm excited to hear and learn more about Watching Willow Watts in the future... it sounds so interesting! Thanks for your bit of advice on redrafting/editing; it is so easy to just try and change a multitude of things all at once but if you focus on a million different aspects, it's easier to mess something up.

If that bunion gets any bigger, you could make IT your PA. =)
ReplyDeleteHair, bunion, blog. Love the thread!
ReplyDeleteHow do you get a bunion on your wrist?
I'm totally cracking up about your bunion. Have you ever seen the movie How to Get Ahead in Advertising? A growth on the guys shoulder eventually turns into a head and takes over his life... this reminded me of that...
ReplyDeleteI say all the time that I learn something new everyday. Didn't know that bunions could grow on wrists. I assume you've had it looked at so you know what you're talking about. :D
ReplyDeleteWill check out the interview.
I had a hair salon day this week too!
ReplyDeleteHow DID you get a bunion on your wrist?
Shall check out Caroline's blog!
So glad to be doing this challenge with you and I love twitter I have met so many interesting people and in october I am going to get to meet them at a convention it is very exciting.

Have a good time in the hair salon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for directing us to Carolyn's blog. It is really interesting.
My hairdresser has had the cheek to give birth just as I need my hair done! ;-0
ReplyDeleteHope your wrist improves x
Cant wait to see what you come up with for the A-Z challenge!!
ReplyDeleteSig
Whoa! Great interview, and great description of the new book. Sounds fantastic.
ReplyDeleteOooh I'm on the Challenge too! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteAbout that wrist... are you going to have to operate on it? Because it sounds similar to something my best friend gets, called ganglions. She had to get them surgically removed. Anyway. If you haven't checked out your wrist yet, you really should.
Hope it gets better soon.
Giggling at no. 2. :) Aren't bunions great?
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with A to Z!
Hey, go and have your wrist seen to by a physician.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for the A-Z challenge!
I haven't had my hair did in so long (I'm trying to grow it out, but it rather resembles a mop at the moment)
ReplyDeletebest of luck with the A to Z tommorrow
http://baygirl32.blogspot.com
is it a mouse bunion ... or typing bunion??
ReplyDeletepopping over to Caroline's now ;)
Looking forward to your A-Z posts, Talli! And I know you look fab in your new haircut :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with A-Z, Talli! Have fun with it!
ReplyDeleteHope your bunion gets better soon! No doubt your hair looks a treat as do those little critters in Kensington Gardens.
ReplyDeleteI've started your book and if I didn't have to go to work I'd keep on reading. Love the chick lit!
April 1 is halfway gone here. I posted my first challenge:
L'Aussies Travel A - Z Challenge

Hair is always a problem for me. With naturally curly hair it takes a long time to straighten it. I bet that your hair looks great!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the challenge.

Hair salon day is a weekly event for my mother which began with my grandmother. I broke the mold by only going for haircuts and highlights. Though I am good with a brush, my tech skills need lots of work and the A to Z Challenge Badge won't paste on to my sidebar or anywhere else. My hair is frizzing up in despair over this!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the challenge...hope I haven't upset your bunion!
I'm at emptynestinsider.blogspot.com
Thanks, Julie
Of course I have seen that hair before. It's quite famous.
ReplyDeleteI'm so looking forward to your 'A'. I've commented somewhere that you guys are awesome as hosts.
