Daffodils and Desks

Yay! It's Monday! Can you hear the enthusiasm in my voice?

Actually, for the first time in a bit, I'm happy Monday is here. Why? Because I had a lovely London weekend, starting with a walk through Hyde Park and a concert at Wigmore Hall on Saturday, and ending with a stroll down the South Bank and through the Tate Modern yesterday.

Not only that, but the weather was glorious.

Daffodils outside the Tate Modern.

Crazy dude playing guitar in the Thames under the Millennium Bridge.
And -- since Mr TR is back to work today after a stint working from home -- I have my office to myself again! I must admit, it's much better for concentrational (not a word! I know!) purposes.

So, Monday or not, I'm happy. What's your state of mind this week?

PS - Thank you for the lovely comments on Friday's post. :)

  4. I'm happy for you! LOL. Today...I am tired. I am a bit foggy. I blame Daylight Savings time and lack of sleep last night. :( But your post made me smile! I'm glad you had such a beautiful weekend! Here's to a wonderful week!

Hope that dude doesn't drop his guitar!

  7. The daffodils are a welcome sight! Not so sure about the guy playing guitar in the Thames. Might have a short career with one bad slip.

  8. Ok! Crazy dude playing guitar in freezing Thames is too weird! LOL! Was he any good?!?! Hope the birds liked it anyway!

Awww wasn't the weekend just gone just wonderful!? Yay for Spring!

Hoorah for getting all concentrated too! :-) Take care

  13. My Monday state is bittersweet today. I just got back from a week vacation snowboarding in Stowe, Vermont, so I'm happy with those awesome memories but I'm sad it's over and must get back to reality. Vacation needs to be longer!

I'm happy it's nearly spring though. Warm weather and sunshine boosts my spirits!

  14. Pleased you had a wonderful week-end. Hope you have an equally good week.

  15. Rubber Mondays, always bouncing off Sundays. Blah...What a stupid day to have made that dentist appointment. NEVER again!

  16. Love those daffodils. I love the spring sunshine and the birdsong.

I'm feeling much calmer and happier today having finished a very harrowing novel Into the Darkest Corner...

I can relate to you getting your office back. Hubby sprained his ankle badly at weekend and is working from home today!

  20. The snow's gradually melting here, but we're at least a month from the flowers starting to show up out of the soil.

Yes, that is definitely a Crazy Dude!

  21. Lovely photos, Spring time at last. Another blogger posted a picture of that guitarist, now who an earth was it!

  22. I'm feeling pretty good. A bit tired, but that comes and goes as I heal.

The weather is glorious here, today. Went out and filled all my bird feeders, walked my inside dog, watched my cats play in the sunshine. I also took some nibbles to my horses and let them love on me and vise versa. I've been looking at the yard and planning flowers and veggie gardens, eyeing things in need of a trim.

It's a good day to be alive!

    Have a great week!

  26. Ahh, I hear ya about having Mr. TR out of the house. Whenever JRM decides to "work from home," it always translates into me getting nothing done. I never knew his occupation was so chatty! :D

Lovely weather here, too! Let's not get spring fever~ <3

  27. Isn't it amazing when the clouds break and the sun comes out. London and Portland have that in common ;)

  28. My husband just doesn't understand that I get more done when he's not here. It's not that he bothers me, it's just another distraction.
    He doesn't get it though.

  29. Sounds like a very relaxing weekend! Everything looks so much better when the sun is shining!

I am going to be in London briefly next week, so I hope the weather stays nice!

  36. Hi Talli - me wants to see my crocuses from those 1970s days to see if they still abound in Hyde Park?!

Today's been lovely too - but now a huge sea mist has come winging in - it's like the Third Man ... swirling around the lamp posts ..

Cheers - just love Spring and the flowers blooming and the leaves greening .. just gorgeous ..

Enjoy your desk to yourself .. cheers Hilary

  37. Yay for springtime coming!

Although playing the guitar in a river doesn't sound like the best idea. I hope it's not an electric guitar. ;)

And Monday is so far good here, although I'm a bit tired. Those 4-day weekends make Mondays a tad rough. :)

  38. Monday for me?

    Scared.

But it's better now I've had some wine.

  42. Maybe Rebecca Black should make a song about Monday, tee hee. Those pictures look beautiful; I think that taking a walk like that would make me happy too.
My state of mind? I keep thinking that there's not enough time in the day to get everything done. But I'm always thinking that. :)

(Sorry, I deleted my earlier comment because I wrote a typo. It really is Monday, sighhhh.)
