One of our friendly bottles of wine, posing in the Jardins Luxembourg. |
Phew. I'm back from Paris, where there was plenty of wine, bread, wine, cheese, wine... my liver is in recovery! Plenty o' fun was had by all, except perhaps by the men we forced to open our bottle of wine in the grocery store. Oh, the humiliation.
A few quick things! If you'd like to win an ebook copy of Willow, you can enter at Chick Lit Club or Chick Lit Reviews.
This week, I've also been lucky enough to be a guest over at Christa's wonderful blog. Drop by to say hi and for the chance to win a copy of The Hating Game! And over at The Naked Hero, I'm stripping off a Frenchman. Go on, take a peek. You know you want to! :)
A massive thanks to everyone taking the time to read, review, sign up for my launch... I really appreciate it! And as you know, well, next week is going to be an exciting one for me. So I'm going to gather my energy and say have a fantastic weekend.
See you Monday!
Looks like you had a great time! Hmm? I never would have thought there were palm trees in France. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Now start preparing your liver for champagne next week:-)
ReplyDeleteI lurve Paris and was In Jardins Luxembourg in July. Bliss
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to 14th.
Welcome back pleased you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week-end;
Yvonne.
With all the wine, bread and cheese, it's a wonder more French people aren't fat. Maybe it's because they don't eat Whoppers and Big Macs.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a super trip, Paris looks wonderful. I'll check out the links, I know I want to...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind eating like that for a while.
ReplyDeleteYes, wine. Ah... Recovering liver - that made me laugh. Enjoy your weekend, Talli!
ReplyDeleteWow, wine in the grocery store! I think Pennsylvania is the only place in the whole world where alcohol is not permitted to be sold in grocery stores. We have separate beer distributers and Wine & Spirits stores.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having such a wonderful time with your BFF!
That looks like a very friendly bottle of wine. Glad you had a great time! :-)
ReplyDelete(p.s. Milk thistle is said to be good for the liver. It even helps it to regenerate!)
Saw your guest post earlier this week Talli - good stuff!
ReplyDeleteStripping a french man...Hmmm...Sounds better than the wine and cheese :) Don't you just love the sound coming out of their mouths....LOL!
ReplyDeleteFrance + wine+ bread and cheese is my kind of holiday. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOH MAN! How did I miss the fact that you were actually IN Paris? I totally would have come to see you!:( Hope you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteTakes a while to detox from a French trip. I pigged out on fois gras this time, oh joy! Even managed to 'smuggle' some back into Oz, well, the nice Customs man decided I could keep it. They don't like us bringing dead animals in from o'seas, lol.
ReplyDeleteHave just put up the WWW review on Reading at Dawn -http://readingatdawn.blogspot.com
You have a great weekend too!
Denise
Talli, you are awesome! I don't know how you find the energy to do everything you do. It's inspiring.

ReplyDeleteOh, you lucky thing to have just been in Paris. That's certainly a perk of living in London--Paris is practically your neighbor. Now I'm dreaming of fresh baguette with brie and maybe some chocolat.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a great launch to your book. Only a weekend in Paris? Seems too short. But then, I've never been at all. A weekend would be better than nothing...right?
ReplyDeleteTalli, it sounds like you had a grand time! Glad you could get away and enjoy yourself.

ReplyDeleteWhen I first arrived in Paris I saw two dudes drinking from a bottle of wine on a park bench at 2 in the afternoon, and I was like 'When in Rome...' - I was told months later that they were probably bums. C'est la vie :P
